No free month of live with GTA IV?

Hi guys, forgive me if im blind and havent seen the other thread, if there is one.( did a quick search)

I brought this game today and am loving it to bits. My Live ran out whilst i was at uni and the sales assistant said this game came with a months free subscription.

There was sweet f a, in the box! am i the first? or do i need to get this code off microsoft? or should i go back to 'competitor' and wave it in their face?

I was told the same thing on purchasing it a couple of days after initial release. I wasn't to fussed though, as I already have an ongoing susbscription. I would go back to the shop and ask for one.

I received one when my pre-order copy arrived but a friend of mine who bought a copy from the second batch didn't get one.
