hey, does anyone know of any tattoo designers online??

im after a getting one designed but im ver specific in what i want and have the image in my head but im not skilled/patient enough to transfer it to paper.

its for the top of my right arm and hopefully will cover my whole shoulder and be in relativly high quality

if anyone has any ideas im after:

Death (AKA Grim reaper) fighting in the pits of hell with a Red dragon.... but the detail comes in the pose and things like that as i want Death to be touching the dragon and where hes touching to be dead/black flesh and for the dragon to look in pain with a few scythe cuts. i also want hell to be obviously hell will pillars on a lava river. (depending on the design i may at a later point want God & heaven looking down from above and possibly Satan adding into hell sat on a throne viewing the battle.

i know a lot will be negative comments against the idea and tattoos in general but please im asking for advice not for people to judge so helpfull and non argumentative posts only please

Thanks

Gary

No i think the negative posts will be the detail you want on your arm, its flesh not a pixar storyboard.

Go find a fantasy artist on Deviantart and make a request or go and find a decent tattoo artist and ask them to design and ink it.

rofl, you must have massive shoulders to want all that to any decent detail level!

As has been said already, that is a lot of detail for an upper arm/shoulder piece. Hell, even if you wanted a full arm piece it would still be a lot of work to get all that detail in.

If that is what you want, I would suggest a back piece.

You could have god/heaven (do you even know what god looks like?) at the top of your back. I would go with the perly gates with a figure of a man, lots of light rays coming out from behind him putting him in shadow. Surround this with clouds, out of the clouds you could have rays of sunlight beaming down onto the hells scene. Have the dragon on one side as its a big piece, then add the reaper and the devil in his chair on the other and use the pillars/lava etc to fill it in. You could even have a colossuem style fighting pit as the hell part.

It would look very good but would require a lot of workand money.

One other question, greyscale or colour?

thanks for the detailed reply, i never actually thought much about the "God" figure it was an afterthought, as was satan in hell... come to think of it i dont know what satan looks like other then the "typical" satan image.

i like your idea of god but i dont like the idea of a back tattoo as i would like to be able to see it in a vest (sleeveless T) im very fussy so somthing thats permanent i would want perfect as i know a few people who have tattoos and regret getting them 6 months later.

i think ill look around deviant art and ask around a bit but if the detail isnt gonna be what i want i wont risk it as i want good quality and dark looking tattoo not a scene from a cartoon (maybe a bit extreme)

as for greyscale/colour i was looking for colour but ill see if/when i get the image and get a greyscale version too.

thanks for all the feedback so far

Depends on how much money you want to spend right?

Either get an artist to design it, and the tattooist will make a transfer to "trace" onto your arm, or go to a guy who does freehand (a proper tattooist, that you read about in magazines and has many awards) and give him your bank account details. With the latter, you can at least expect the feedback of said tattooist, who will know before you even begin what it will look like, and what he thinks.

If it must be your arm then I would suggest having a full sleeve done.

Have the reaper on your outside forearm with the dragon twisting around you arm from the wrist right up towards your bicep. That would then leave enough room later on to fir the whole god image onto your shoulder and the rest of the upper arm. Any room left between could be filled with background images such as lava etc.

I have an idea for a back tattoo that I want doing, its a massive angel design however, my artistic skills are lacking and I need to get into shape before having it done. However, you watch shows like LA Ink etc and realise that there are some extremely good artists out there. Then when you pop into a shop and see a generic skull and cross bones etc it really puts you off. I am going to save like mad, try to find a top bollock artist and have it done. I'd like it done for my wedding next year but doubt that will happen!
