E6600 @ 3.5ghz
1.464V on CPU-Z

Room temp @ 17c:
Fans @ 800rpm
1 Fan Idle: 33c
1 Fan Load: 63c
4 Fans Idle: 28c
4 Fans Load: 57c
Fans @ 1600rpm
1 Fan Idle: 30c
1 Fan Load: 60c
4 Fans Idle: 24c
4 Fans Load: 50c

Room temp @ 27c
Fans @ 800rpm
1 Fan Idle: 40c
1 Fan Load: 83c (YIKES!)
4 Fans Idle: 32c
4 Fans Load: 62c
Fans @ 1600rpm
1 Fan Idle: 38c
1 Fan Load: 80c (YIKES!)
4 Fans Idle: 32c
4 Fans Load: 62c
 
You know you'd probably get much better temps if you just had one fan at the front pushing air through from the front of the case and then one at the back blowing it out the back.

More fans doesn't necesserily (spelling? :() mean better airflow and cooler temps.

I would imagine that's a bit of a mish-mash in terms of airflow.
 
i agree but i just thaught id mess about :P the top fans not attached by anything its just lying on top, and the side ones just on by one tie wrap.
and the back ones pushing air out yes :)
 
Yeah airflow would be weird in the case, almost static and awkward. I personally vote for 2 fans one push --->>> one pull <<<------>>>>>>, if that makes any sense at all.
