Bugatti & Ferrari in 130mph race!

That section of the M27 is 50 for about 10 miles with average speed cameras which recognise number plates. Ive driven it enough recently to know its impossible for them to have raced through it. Its impossible to drive through at 50, its just full in all 3 lanes of people doing 40, even at 10pm at night! Theres no way they could have done 130 though that zone.

And with numberplate recognition cameras, both drivers will be done. They look at the front of the car too, so unless that number plate was missing too the Ferrari driver is either busted or wasnt speeding though the 50 zone.

Plus, who the hell takes that good a photo at that range whilst driving of 2 cars doing supposedly 130MPH?

Typical Sun hype....

At least the people who took the photos aren't the "i only took the photos to show how unsafe they were being" types.

I am guessing he isn't local, not much the police can do.

I wonder what the deal with the ferrari is, it may be foreign too.

I am also amazed that "eddie" can tell the speed of a car just by looking at it

Thats because its completely impossible for anyone to have been doing what they were supposedly doing on that section of road.

97MPH is hardly 'racing' either. It probubly a case of a couple of nice cars going along the M27 and one of them was speeding a little entering one of the 50 zones... Something ive seen about 10 white van men do in the last week.

"Eddie" bigged it up and sold it to the Sun, acoumpanied with his nicely taken 'while driving' photo...
 
I suggest it was suspected speeds up to and above 130mph but we actually got him at 90mph hence the fine and points. Veyron caught at 90mph might not have had the same impact..
 
Exactly clocked at 97mph. It's just that person's word surely saying they were doing 130mph+? Unless he was keeping pace???
 
But 'Eddie' would have got his £250 or whatever for selling the story to the Sun as they are too stupid to actually investigate anything.
