Hello,

My dad still hasn't bought a new car but after test driving 4 C5's, he's made a reservation on this one, about to buy this in 3 weeks for 7900€ :

Citroen C5 Break Exclusive 2.0 16v LPG
178.000 km ( 108k miles)
2002
Full cream leather interior
Panoramic elec open roof
Boardcomputer
Navigation ( whole Europe inc eastern Europe )
Cruise control
Climate control
Traction control ( I think, I'm not sure but the last exclusive we checked had this I believe this should have too, if not then well nvm )
ABS
Power steering
Central locking + window & roof controls on remote
Automatic lights ( xenon I think too, not sure) and autom. windscreen wipers
Sport mode ( suspention stiffens)
FSH
Cd changer & dvd player
2 extra free good summer tires and 2 worn summer tires( so 4 extra wheels/tires, 1 full set)
Comes with 4 good profile winter tires and alloys
Carkit
7900€

Is this a good buy, most people on msn said it's an okay buy...

WTF?

Its summer, tell them you want 4 "summer" tyres on the car, new ones.

So it's only a good buy if the guy buys us 2 summer tires ?

No but really, go for it or try to convince my old man otherwise ( he seems sold to exactly this due to the leather interior & massive sunroof, it's one of 3 LPG c5's breaks exclusives with a sunroof and only one with both leather and sunroof...) ?

These threads are becoming increasingly annoying. I'll offer my advice, see your reply, and then explain why they are pointless threads.

No, £6285 is NOT a good buy for a 100k mile 6 year old Citroen C5.

Certainly not in the UK, but I don't know what the secondhand car market is like in the Netherlands...

its a 6 yr old french car with lots of electrical goodies and toys,

I guess we'll be seeing spec me an auto electrician thread shortly after purchase :)

that sounds a bit high for the mileage
second hand car prices in very high in the netherlands, so it's not far off

the UK is much much cheaper
