USA uses brain for once: Obama 'clinches nomination'

All your statement seems to be saying is that any president doesn't have much power and that obama won't win. I don't know why you quoted me though as I don't disagree with those points. I agree that getting black and young people to vote will be difficult. I've seen all the videos (from the bbc etc) where they go to an american town and people say they won't vote for obama because he is a muslim or because he is black. Even if the president doesn't have much power to enact change, would you vote for one who you believe would at least try?

After all the back stabbing and name calling she has done to him... surely he won't hire her as the vice presidentical candidate? Surely not?

Also they recently gave access to the media both McCain and Obama's medical records, they had access for only 3 hours.

McCain's records spanned a few thousand pages and from the sounds of it he has had virtually every illness in the world is is currently on a long list of meds :p

Obama is the New America, not McCain. I left Hillary out because she's not going anywhere any more.

yeah but mcains body has been through hell, and is still pretty banged up.

I simply dont think that middle america will vote for a black president..those voters who do actually bother to go out and vote, they will be the older more conservative people

It's already been shown throughout the early parts of the campaign that more younger people are voting than before especially from the Obama crowd.

More American people want a change in Washington and it doesn't seem that way to us because we're only seeing one side of it due to the current people running the place. The outcome from the next few months will show what's what I say!

Why do the elections take so long in the usa?

Candidates go on "tours" and gives speeches, go on Media shows for debates and talks, America has many many states...it's just huge in general so takes a long time!

To be honest, I dont think the colour of his skin or Hillary's gender will change anything. First and foremost, they are both politicians. Politicians lie and cheat to get what they want, theyre all the same.

I do, however, think that he will win the election by a landslide and its in this that his colour will help. The black community will vote en mass in the hope that he will fix a lot of the racial issues in the US but I fear that they will soon realise that he is no different and things dont change the way that is expected.

Barack Obama finds himself standing at the Pearly Gates.
Angel: STOP!! You may not enter until you name one good deed you have done on earth.
Obama: Well....I was the first black president of the United States of America.
Angel: REALLY!?!?! When did this happen?
Obama: About 12 seconds ago.
