New Dell 2709W Coming Very Soon!

Wonder if it'll have the ghosting problems of the 2407-HC or the lag issues of the 2408?

Maybe Dell deliberately knobbled those monitors to sell more of these, as otherwise I'm struggling to think why you'd pay so much more for another three inches in size but no more resolution.
 
Would be very interested in this! I was looking forward to getting the 2408 due to the sheer number of inputs, but with the lag issues it has been tainted with I may steer clear of that.

Providing this has no major flaws it may well be my next monitor.
 
Tbh these are pretty minor changes..not impressed at all...

A huge gain in ms response would be nice?

Same story with dell just re-releasing the same things with slight improvements in how they function.

have you managed to get your mits on one of these yet Mr Badsass?

I noticed that the 2408WFP is listed at £562.83 while the 2709W is listed at £439.74 which strikes me as a little strange, as the 2707WFP used to carry a £100+ premium over it's 24" brother

is there a downside to the 2709W as the price tag dosen't seem too bad for a dell 27"

while it's subjective, in my eyes the 2707WFP looked like a well designed premium product, whereas the 2709W looks more like it has been redesigned by a bean counter - but thats just my opinion of course
