Hi all,

I've got a home server that I've hardly used...it was paid for as a replacement to my old one, and I put it all together (experienced in doing this so it was done to a high quality), however I really dont have a use for it, so I have this (what I think is) expensive "server" in a cube chassis sitting doing nothing...so, I wanna sell it on :)

I was hoping some people could give me a rough idea as to what its worth. Heres the specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz
Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS23 Micro-ATX Mobo
X-Cube case w/Blue neon psu
4GB Corsair DDR2 RAM (4x 1GB sticks)
2 x Maxator 160GB SATA HDDs (3gbps)
1 x DVD R/W Drive (basic standard drive)

I also have a USB freeview tuner (Linux compatible) as I was planning on using it as a media server.

I did add a few extra HDD's to it however I would probably keep these.

So yeah, looking for an idea as to what its worth :) Also willing to take offers on buying it :p

Thanks for your time folks!

Sounds like a standard gaming rig in a small case...

lol.. I do hope you were not serious benny :D

a gaming rig, with - Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 (Intel GMA 3100) bwahahaha.

the only gaming you will be doing on that is solitaire.

intel integrated graphics is pc gamings enemy, just ask mark rein from epic games.

with a good card in there though it could make a decent gaming pc, depends what the psu can provide.

It's a pretty nice system. To start you off, half the amount you paid for each item and see what you have then. Depends how old the components are too - you can expect more for nearly new items (compared to over a year old for example).

we will tell you its worth and maybe make offers once you have access to the members market

Sorry, wasn't aware there was a marketplace.

The components are approx 3 months old, all its done so far is run linux...the reason for not having a "uber" graphics card is because I simply dont need it in a server ;)

I spoke to a few local computer shops, who recon its worth approx £400 or so...would you agree?

Nope..

Could build it brand new for ~£380, so it's not going to be anywhere near that second hand..

Don't mean to be harsh, it's just the truth :)
