Crazy prices for Minis!

My GF and I were down at Wollaston Mini last week and were having a quick browse of the 2nd hand ones they got down there.

One caught my eye:

Mini One
51 plate (Jan 02)
Unpopular colour - silk green
Unpopular wheels - 'hole alloys'
Some options but not many

Now this car would have cost around £12k when new, now that is over 6 YEARS AGO!

Most other cars of that age/price would now be worth £2k-£3k.

Wollaston price: £7,790!

Yes I know it has only done 14k miles - but that isnt really so great now is it?

I dont think there are many 51 plate cars like that for £2k with 14k miles on and that sort of spec do you :confused:

that's more than a 330i would cost at the same age, and they were 30K+

Looking at the plus side though, if you buy one 2nd hand you wont lose much on it.

No....But i may take a fiesta ST over a focus ST

I live in on a very small island with very narrow roads....So big cars don't really interest me...

That is well steep for a 51 plate, regardless of Mileage, my old ONE is for sale in Manchester, had a good spec (auto lights/wipers etc) and going for close to 10k (Mid 05 plate) you can guarentee that the sod who sold it probably only got about 5-6k for it..
