Buckingham Palace

I went to one of these parties at Buckingham Palace some years ago with the family. Had a lovely day wandering around the gardens and hob-nobbing with the royals :D
 
I've had to stand in front of her with a rifle and fixed bayonet before - probably will do so a few more times in the future.

Not had a garden party invite as of yet though.

oo look famous person, everyone swoon. I feel the same, I'm proud I don't act like a teenager and get all googly eyed anytime i see anyone even slightly famous. Alba, Biel or a few other hotties and I might be interested to meet them, or at least follow along behind them. I'm not even sure I have any respect for the Royals, I mean the Queen does charity work and represents England, but does she do anymore than is just expected of her, hardly a difficult life she has to put up with.

If they were in charge of the country, led us personally into a strong economy, or into war or something then maybe. But they are just a token figurehead family that don't deserve to be fawned over, for being born rich.

The whole Royal thing, and the Lords/sir titles have been devalued by the fact that famous people get Knighted for basically no apparent reason whatsoever. How's about not giving away titles to just any remotely popular film/tv/football star for doing smeg all, and we award them to heroes and people who have done something worthwhile. THey are just a PR exercise like anything else now.

Are you mad?! I'm no royalist but I know that she has one of the busiest calendars in the country! It's not a job she necessarily does because she wants to, she has to and is still doing so at 80!
 
Yeah, i thought they actually had a really busy schedule. Also for her these events could be boring since she has done it so many times before, but to everyone else it is amazing to see her, I know I would get really bored of it.
