FireFox 3 RC2 now available!

RC1 in one word - incredible.

I haven't seen a massive leap in performance like this in ages. There isn't a single feature I don't like so far. Everything is just so sleek and nippy to use! I had no idea you could copy a tab by holding down CTRL and dragging it across. Shweeet!

So far I'm really liking it, seems to be a big performance improvement even from beta 5, which I wasn't expecting. Still a couple of niggles with the Awesomebar though..

a) If I delete something from the drop-down menu, I don't want it to show up again. RC1 seems to take some of the drop-down content from my bookmarks, so if I have something bookmarked but I delete it from the drop-down, when I open it it'll be back again. Quite an obscure thing but annoying.

b) It needs to be more intelligent when recognising which addresses belong to the same site. e. g. currently in my dropdown, I have www.facebook.com, www.facebook.com/home.php and www.facebook.com/login.php. That's just a waste of space.

I think you're missing the point. Thunderbird is completely separate from Firefox and doesn't integrate with it in any way. It won't matter whether you're running Fx2 or Fx3, because Thunderbird doesn't interact with Firefox. You can't keep Thunderbird running by keeping Firefox open. Once you close the Thunderbird window, it's gone.
 
I wish the Extension programmers would pull their fingers out and update em!!..

After installing RC1 70% of my Extensions still won't work!!... God only knows which ones won't work with RC2.. I'll find out tonight!!..
 
its still Fx3 RC2 as testing purpose and the final release will come up in the middle of June so think either 2-3 weeks it come up -- I rather wait for final release then I upgrade to Fx3 and yes it look great plus add some more features.

Fx4 will come up in 18-20 months time as it still now development.
 
More importantly there'll be a Fx3.1 by the end of the year, with some of the features that missed the cut for Fx3.
 
Had quite a few crashes on Rc2 :(, wonder what they've changed from rc1 as that never crashed. Hope they sort it out before release.
