A buried bunker isn't exactly safe. Apart from things collapsing, the German army could have left traps so enemies wouldn't use their tunnels/bunkers. Even if something has been dormant for over 60 years, it could still be dangerous. Best to go slow and in day light when he's wide awake. It's on his land, it's not like anyone is going to steal anything from there...

Do people not watch films, this is how all of mankind threatening biowarfare weapons get accidentally released, or they flick a light switch inside which turns out to turn on a nuclear powered reactor that opens a portal and out will pop Hellboy + some weird thing that will kill us all, or errm, the Holy Grails resting place which they'll open as just a "storage" crate and kill us all.

For the love of god, everyone, watch some damn films.

No, its ok, i just think the original story is very distressing, its a really **** thing to have on this earth people like him, so joking about it is a bit tasteless, but that is my opinion :)
