Hi.. wonder if someone can help me, im looking for a blue saxo vts model car, but so far i couldn't find any useful site, where i can get it from. I have found a silver version from the popular rain forest store. :) Anyone has any idea? (if it breaks any rules, sorry and please close) Thanks

If you're looking to try out your tricked out modifications on a model first, I'd suggest buying a different car.

Perhaps becuase he wants a model of his car? Why not?

Exactly, at least someone isn't so narrow minded here :p That was the exact reason as a friends birthday is coming up and I thought he might like a scale model of his standard Saxo. Not having much luck though, so probably going to leave it or get the silver and paint it :)

Looks like Norev are the only company that made the Saxo VTS in 1:43 scale, and from what I can find, they may have only made it in silver. So yeah, the only way to get a blue one is to paint it yourself. The rainforest, Ebay, lots of places stock them.

This may not be as much of a pain to do as you might think; diecasts seem to be easily disassembled/reassembled, thus requiring less masking for a decent result, and of course there's lots of info to be gleaned via Google and diecast enthusiast forums.

If you decide to go down the painting route, I'd recommend getting hold of some cheaper diecast models and practicing on these first - the Norev Saxo is quite expensive by 1:43 scale terms.

Actually, your best best would be to go and ask in a local independant model shop. I believe there's one in the Broadmarsh Centre called Modelzone, Modelzine, Modelling zone or something along those lines.

Cheers simisker, I know it is quite expensive for a 1:43 scale model, might be an idea for me to practice like you say first though! :D

Just remembered that shop now you mention it Azagoth and you're not even from Nottingham! :p Thanks for that, might pop in and have a chat :)

Edit: ^^ lol, not a bad idea!

Can't remember the site, but there used to be a guy where you would send him pitcures and he would make a model of the car as it was.
