Anyone listened to the new full album that's been on their myspace for a few days now?

I'm just listening to it now for the first time.

If I'm honest I'm not much of a fan of any of their previous stuff apart from Politik. But so far I'm really liking this new album, albeit i'm only 3/4 tracks in...

Its really well done this album i think, there are some amazing parts to some of these songs...

a lot of people bash coldplay, mainly nme botters but less said the better...

I really love Lost on this album

Listened a couple of times through. Think it's great.

I've really liked their last two albums - found the first two quite depressing, if I'm honest. Really wondered what all the fuss was about when Parachutes was out.

Thanks for the link. Heard half the songs already due to the pre-order on itunes but I feel with this album like x&y it "makes more sense" when all listened together.

I really like this now after a fair few listens. My favourites are Yes, the double track of Lovers In JapanReign Of Love and Strawberry Swing.

Is it worse than X+Y (which I thought was pretty bad)?

I hate all their previous albums. Asides from one song. This is just different. There's no god awful crap like Clocks, Yellow, Talk etc on this record.

Didn't even realise this was coming. Gonna have to go have a look-see. I actually thought X&Y was pretty good.

I like the bits they're playing on the advert, and I like Rush of Blood. Might give this a go if you can listen free.

Only one good song on the whole album in my opinion and that's Viva La Vida. The other songs are really, really slow. It's like, by the time they've got interesting, the song has ended :(

heard it through once, nothing has jumped out at me at being a "great song"

though i think it needs a few listens before judgement

dont think it will touch their older albums though (except x&y which i wasnt fond of)

Viva la vida is awesome and so is Strawberry Swing but my favorite is death and all. I like coldplays more upbeat and songs with good tunes, im not so into their slow whiney stuff :p

Me niether, people bang on about coldplays first album and that none of the others have been the same, too right they havent...

i like how they have totally changed since that, i never really thought parachutes was anything special.. quite a few slow boring songs...

i quite like what they have done on this new album and x&y, even though i really liked x&y, i just love this new album.. they have sort of experimented quite a bit more.. without going totally nuts with experimentation and losing the plot of a song

Have listened to it about 5 times now. Im a big fan of Coldplay already but I think this is a great album. It didnt have the immediate impact on me that Parachutes did but after multiple listens there are numerous top tracks. Considering its their fourth album, they are doing well still thinking up with new ideas and new sounds. Top 3 songs for me are Lovers In Japan, Cemeteries of London and Viva La Vida.

fourth album doing well thinking up new ideas and sounds? well it shouldnt be hard for musicians...its their job. how many albums did the beatles produce? 12? 13?

not a fan of coldplay any more, the guy annoys me, and the new single is dire, gone downhill from parachutes
