Where can I get one

Barclays won't give me one insist on Connect card, idiots and insist it is a electron card

I want it so I dont get charged extra for RyanAir flights

I had one ages ago from the Abbey, no idea if they still do them though? We are talking a good few years back though..

I currently have one that ive been using since i was a kid and ive never bothered getting anything else as the Electron works everywhere.

Edit: got mine from Barclays.

i didnt see what was so good about the visa electron. I got refused at a travel lodge because i had one. They said they couldnt take a copy of the card because the numbers were not sticking out... (technical term).

Yeah I have one from halifax... but I'm finding it gets rejected quite a bit so will finally change over to a visa debit after all these years! I've had it since I was 16.

I've got one from Abbey but they're rubbish, loads of places don't accept them. You'd be better advised to get a Solo card.

Ive never had solo rejected anywhere - and almost all internet sites take them.

Solo is accepted nowhere.

Visa Electron can be used practically anywhere. Online just set it to "Visa" and it will work. In stores, I've never had it refused.

The ticket machine at the train station didn't like my friends electron card

Just get a proper visa debit or maestro card

electron and solo are for 16 year olds or adults who can't be trusted with finance

Yeah i've never been refused anywhere with mine and im with Barclays aswell.

They probably have the cards limited to certain current accounts i got mine when i was 16 and that was on the "Young persons account"

Nationwide give me a proper Visa debit card when i was 18, a lot of places dont accept solo and it was a huge pain in the bum
