All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

interesting how much he was made avail for mind.

Aye, I read somewhere a fee of around £14m would get him. Incredible considering he has another 4 years of top level football in him. He just needs a new challenge and team to get it working for him again. I'd take him at Utd for that amount, should Ronaldo stop ****ing around and give us all an answer on his future.

I think people are being overly harsh on Shevchenko. Play him in full games, get him ready (something Chelsea haven't done) and they'll have the brilliant striker he once was.

He started over 40 games in his first season, if that's not enough to prove you're still capable then what is?

That's what I think. :p

On a side note, the PO was closed last week matey. I have the DVD next to me, it was still in a packing box from when we moved house, I'll almost certainly be in town on Monday and it *should* be with you on Tuesday. Sorry for taking so long, poor show on my behalf.

No worries, I was wondering where it go to anyway after I thought you sent it on Wednesday. Thought it may have got lost in the post :o

I ended up spending time with my mate before he goes to South Africa for 2 months, going out drinking and what-not, only remembered to let you know now. lol.
I'll send it recorded if you want? (just means you'll have to be up early to sign for it).

Nah here's no need to send it recorded, I usually end up mising the post as it comes at about 1 in afternoon, and I don't fancy trekking down to the sorting office :p

Apparantly Ramsey flew to the Euro's yesterday to talk to Arsene Wenger, after speaking to United. Not sure if he's spoken to Everton/Liverpool or whoever yet but there could be a decision sometime next week.

Milan apparantly given permission to talk to Drogba, while being told Shevchenko is not for sale

Excellent news, hopefully we'll be building a new team around Shevchenko:cool:
Yes, that is sarcastic, perhaps he's not for sale as we're going to find a plush retirement home for him. He does deserve it after all he's given the club to be fair.

Seems odd that they'll let their best striker go, but not a player whos done nack all for them...?
They must have plans for him? Perhaps it actually is to base the team around him? Thats the only plausable explanation i can think of for it?

Chelsea haven't said Shevchenko isn't for sale only Galliani and I'll wager that's because they aren't stupid enough to buy him anyway so it's a great way to appease the fans who still think he can play football at the highest level.
Chelsea won't be basing a team around him and he won't be the first choice striker, Robbie Fowler can do the same job he can now at just a fraction of the wages;)

i hope they dont sell drogba, itll be the biggest loss to premiership

Yeah, we'll miss an overpaid, over theatrical, cheating, bad attitude, clumsy player like Drogba . One good season from four isn't good enough. People seem quick to forget he couldn't hit a barn door in his first two seasons.
