Euro 2008 Group B **Spoilers**

So are a lot of my friends and family of friends :p. I also worked in a pub full of them from 3 years and it's all I heard (predominantly about Downing anyway). Not worked there in a year now though, so it's possible that fans opinions have changed over a season.
 
Anyone else think Modric is under delivering on his hype?
His passing has been questionable, even in easy situations, twice he beat a man outwide only to square the ball to a single Austrian player.

He's obviously not poor, but I think it was safe to say I was expecting more, certainly against probably the poorest team in the tournament.

Saying that, I'm a massive fan of Kracjar and he's not done much either :p
 
I bet he only got poor contact because he changed direction at the last possible chance!

Looks like both croatia and the czechs have had to hang on for the last third of the game while getting pummeled by the underdogs.
 
Modric is still definitely unproven. It was funny at half time on BBC, they were trying to show how good he was but could only come up with one decent left footed pass and one pass that went behind his teammate lol.

He has potential though and could be a good player for Spurs.

^ Note my balanced argument, I don't care if he turned down Newcastle. :p
 
How good is 5-live commentary over Motson. God I hate Motson.

"Stuttgart, his club, say he's worth £40m.... I'd half that now".
 
is it me or did that goal look offside, the scorer was way ahead of any defender when the pass was made, or did i miss one?
