Hi all,

I'm building a PC for a friend and I'm keen to get the above board. He's got a EZCOOL 700WATT PSU which only has a 4 pin ATX connection. Looking at the board on Overclockers they have blanked out 4 of the 8 pins, why is this?

If i do need a 4 - 8 pin converter then do Overclockers sell them?

I have a psu that uses both connectors eatx12v and eatxpwr everything connected.

looking at a spare ezcool PWR supply "atx-500 jsp came with a case" and it only has 2 main connectors one for eatx12v and eatxpwr a , one a 20 way with, and additional 4 block to go with eatx12v with yellow and black cables four off.

rest are for hard drives etc

it also states use a 8 pin for the eatx12v

It'll run fine with just the 4 pin plug. The 8 pins would provide more stability for overclocking quads tho.

That's exactly what I said to my friend. Just wanted to confirm it and you have.

Thanks a lot mate,

Does anyone know if this board comes with an IDE cable?

Thanks,

RoEy

Yep, but it's not a nice round one. Just a crappy old flat one. This is what it comes with:-

User's manual
USB2.0 module
1 x UltraDMA 133/100/66 cable
1 x Floppy disk drive cable
3 x SATA cable
1 x SATA power cable
3 in 1 Q-connector
ASUS Q-shield
1 x Optional Fan for Water-Cooling or Passive-Cooling only
SupremeFX II Audio card

I would'nt be using a cheap and nasty power supply on one though.

Yeah I've told him that but he can't afford to get a new/better PSU yet. It will do him for a few months and he won't be overclocking it for a while anyway.

Thanks for your post,

RoEy
