Call of Duty 5 will be called Call of Duty: World at War

PlayTM magazine stats that Call of Duty 5 will be called Call of Duty: World at War and is set in the Pacific part of WWII, that's according to Strategy Informer.

Back to WWII then, is that a good move?

COD4 has been one of my favourite games of all time, I love it set in this age. Sick to death of World War crap.

I think they should make a COD 4 - 2 if that makes sense!

Nah, it's a good idea imo.

If they called it CoD 5, a lot of people would assume it was the true successor to CoD 4. So when it turns out to be ****, they could as a result lose sales when the next Infinity Ward CoD comes out.

Activision are fully aware it's highly unlikely to reach the standard set by CoD 4. Disassociating it from CoD 4 (Removing the number/setting) makes perfect sense.

Hopefully IW are already working on the successor to CoD 4.
