Any Multireigon DVD Doobrie For PS3

Any out yet or in the pipeline? Something along the lines of the DVD ReigonX from Datel... I have loads of DVDs that are Reigon 1 and 3. Would love to have a nice little unit that does everything rather than have PS3, PC, HDMI Upscaling DVD etc...

No.

The ps3 has not been cracked yet and does not look like it will be any time soon.

Only option would be to rip your movies to the ps3's hdd or to a server and stream the files for now.

My European ps3 plays my American Dexter DVD's, tho i dont have any other American dvd to try it out with so it might be a one off.

Some DVD's (Documentary's, Music content and occasional TV shows) are marked as DVD Region 0 which can play in any player. I imagine this is the case (putting it in a PC and using some software would confirm this).

I'm not sure of the legality exactly, but I copy my own disks.

When I fancy watching one of my R1 disks, I just back it up, and watch the backup, region free.

Means I can still enjoy the upscaling of the PS3, rather than go back to my old standalone DVD player.
