The big score line could mean a lot if its judged on goal difference at the end.
If Holland had won this 1-0. Then say Italy lost to france 1-0 but went on to win 2-0 to romania, then france could lose to holland by 2-0 and Italy would still go through on 3 points along with France and Romania, but ge the second place on goal difference!
So my question is is it decided on goal difference? If not then it might be lucky escape italy.

Jose has got Inter, the majority of the Italian squad are from Milan... unless I'm very much mistaken.

Very impressive and by far the best display of any team so far.
What an awesome game...finally a game thats interesting and exciting. Have to say the first dutch goal was a bit unfair on the Italians but my god the next 2 goals were simply sublime. Didnt think the Dutch would beat the Italians but they thoroughly ripped them apart tonight. Awesome save by Van der Sar to deny Italy a goal.
Have to say the Dutch are looking very good but Italians are looking good as well. I think it will be the Dutch and Italians that will progress to the next round from this group..cant see France or Romania getting anywhere close to these 2.
Brilliant game though, just the sort of game i enjoy watching...both sides attacking and very free flowing.
