I havent really took stuff for it before but this year its really bad, my nose is blocked and running all the time like I have a cold. Any one suggest the best stuff to take for it?

Thanks

A single 10mg Loratadine tablet per day seems to work quite well for me.

If things are really bad benedryl works very well, except it will make you drowsy. One thing I do to counteract the drowsiness is take 30mg or so of pseudoephedrine, this clears your sinuses up in addition to being a stimulant.

but 99% of the time the Loratadine works great.

Yeah see a GP - I get 2 months supply on one repeat prescription so works out a lot cheaper that way.

There is a nasty summer cold virus doing the rounds atm too - I'm still recovering from it.

Thanks people, I will check in Tesco on the way to work.

I find a Vix nasal spray works when I have a cold, worth giving that a blast too I think.

i find that the best relief for me is beconase nasal spray combined with a one a day zirtek tablet, still get itchy eyes at times but these things help no end.

Anything with Ceitrizine or Lorotadine in. Don't be bought into the £4 a box brand names. you get the same ingrediants in the 99p Wilkinsons pills. All made by the same company anyway.

Hay Max is good. Rub it on the end of your nose (its invisible) and apparently it's proven to prevent like 95% of pollen rom getting in at all. No sauce, i'll look one up at lunch though.

You can also get an injection, see your GP about it.
