I dont know the difference between these 3 monitors, i game on my pc so would need one with minimal ghosting.

I am currently running 2 x dell p991 19" CRTs and one is a bit poorly it keeps going really really blurred and eventually after a few times of switching it off for 5 mins and back on the screen stays normal anyone know what this might be ?

samsung's own panel is the best panel.

the 226CW uses the samsung panel guaranteed and the 226BW has the panel lottery so u could get a samsung panel or cmo or au panel??

the iiyama e2201w has a guaranteed samsung panel too and is only £202.

The iiyama, BW & CW all look identical, the pebble looks funkier but you might not get the best panel and it costs more.


so to summarise:-

226CW - samsung panel £247
226BW - CMO AU or samsung panel £212
2232bw - CMO AU samsung panel - £225

iiyama E2201W - samsung panel £202

tbh i cant see any competition

Haha talk about confusing someone even more.

You didnt mention the 223bw, how does that compare with the other 2 ?
 
Be aware that the "B1" revision of the Iiyama E2201W is much more suited to a gamer than the "B2" version (less input lag). The B1 is much harder to get hold of these days, one company claimed to stock the B1 and sent me a B2, took 6 (six) weeks to get a refund after a poor customer service turn around by them [not OCuk].
 
yea sorry about that.... dont know enough about the other one :p

RE. the B2, my mate opposite has the B2 I have the B1, i have run a stop watch on both and took pics and saw no diff. the displays were set up in clone.

but dont just take my word for it, there was a post on here with a direct letter from iiyama saying the B2 has no input lag like the B1 but has anyone confirmed this?
 
well, i still have no idea what i'm going to get. Need to see a decent comparison of the B1 vs the B2. Making the B2 worse than the B2 wouldn't make sense. I just hope they haven't put in a crappy panel in the B2 to save money.
 
Right, i think i'm going to have a hunt for the B1 as i can't find any reviews and the panel will be different. I just hope that the B2 is not radically better when people finally do review it.
