i have a 2900xt with Thermalright mod heat sink attached and its a ugly mess, but its a great performer, that's why i like it. my case has been the same case through 4 incarnates, why? i don't care what it looks like, its just a box.

but if your the type of person that likes to have everything match in your house, or a fashion slave, then i can understand why its important for a video card to look just beautiful and pretty.

Are you sure that isn't just the clear plastic cover over the top? Pretty sure you should take that off dude.

My 8800GTS came with the same sorta logo that you showed first. ie the standard blank Nvidia one.

I believe it was the Palit brand..cant remember at this very moment though.

I like the designs on the leadtek 8800GT's but that's about it, apart from that doesn't matter a lot anyway, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to cover and the sticker even in a windowed case would be pointing downwards so even if it was on your desk you wouldn't notice it.

Incidentally, can anyone explain to me why gfx cards are 'upside down'? Would it not be better to have the heat venting upwards naturally or is it to avoid the hot air travelling up to the CPU?
