anyone know when its out? tempted to hold off buying new server till its released

I've heard nothing solid, but the last time I spoke to anyone regarding it, they told me not to expect it before July.

I'd probably guess at August.

yeah thats what I've been guessing at, I've got the public beta but have epic fail as I've no system to test it on atm (need 64 bit and I've no 64bit system with a 64bit OS so I can run VMWARE in 64 bit )

I believe it will be towards the end of the year, as already mentioned RC0 is out at the moment, there isnt much more on the partner site yet, i'm just about to rma some memory and then i can install it, however i find the 60GB install quite steep.

well 2008 is 64bit only!
I wanted to test it in a VM but can't do that as I've vista 32 installed here!

anyone know if you can dual boot 2008 with vista (having vista already installed, install 2008 on same partition?

as above, it's 64bit only. I've Vista 32 installed (pre-installed).

if you have a 64bit capable cpu, you might be able to install it in vmware beta 6.5, but that's entirely up to you and make sure you backup everything first.

You will need minimal 60GB to install it and a minimal 2GB ram, ideally 4GB assigned to the VM

thats the other reason, I've 2GB ram local so that would work out for the min spec
