Wheel refurb in Cheshire/Manchester/Stoke-On-Trent area?

Hey guys,

As the Leon is now nearly back on the road, and whilst I have a 2nd car to get around in, I'd like to get the wheels of the Leon refurbed (as they are the worst condition part of the car), but have no idea who to take them to at all.

I'd rather go off recommendations from people who have experienced the results first hand rather than go with "Joe's mate from the pub who ricky once went to's" advice.

So, hit me with your recommendations within a 40 mile radius of SK10 (Macclesfield).

There's a place near manchester that gets recommended on cliosport I think. I'll see if I can find it for you later if its any use to you.

Try WheelWizard. They are a franchise, there is one guy working in Stoke-on-Trent and if it's the same guy who used to do the wheels at Holdcroft Subaru, he's a bit special. Even matched the Bright Flitter without a code (as Subaru *and* Prodrive didn't know it). I have his card somewhere but the number is 07970 542582 from Google.

Yes, but given that I want to get the car into a sellable condition now, having them "good enough for me" isn't good enough. I need them to be "as new".

They have also taken a bit more beating since then, and have 6 months of ground-in brake dust etched on them.

That was one of the ones I've seen recommended on the cliosport forums, I've also just seen these mentioned on there: http://www.alloy-wheel-refurb.co.uk/home.htm.htm which are in the Stoke area.

I nearly went with those guys last time, but OMG at the cost for 18" wheels

My friend took his wheels there.

They do powdercoating and painting, and prices start from £40 per wheel IIRC.

Quality was amazing for the price, and its same-day service.
