Ofcom assessing ITV '*****' jibe

And how many people complain about James May?
Then again, its not going to matter since its going to be on BBC soon anyway.

Can't wait for it to go onto BBC - top gear does F1 :p

If this was in "Motors", I would post this right about now.

I cant understand the fuss. Surely Fred Alonso saying the F word during his interview is more offensive at teatime.

Why does only 7 complaints warrant such a fuss. If thousands were genuinely offended and complained I could see the point, but for only 7 people it's just silly.

Oh yea, i missed it but i heard the apology - did he really say the F word?
Yeah, he was asked something about being unhappy as he could have had a podium finish, yada yada yada, and he replied saying he wouldn't have been on the podium because they had ****** up their strategy :D

I agree with you, in this case, but to take another example a few years ago BT had an advert that showed people with their necks and hands in a funny position from being stuck on the phone. A handful of people complained about it on account of it seemingly taking the mick out of a legitimate but rare disability. It was quite promptly taken off the air.

See in that case I'd say even one complaint was enough to get it investigated.
