Just got an new N95, what now!?

Hi all

Ok i have just got myself a new N95. I know you can do a million things with this phone to make it faster/cooler/better and i know there used to be a massive thread about it but i cant find it. So can anyone find it or give me some tips on what to do with my phone?

I am in no rush to do everything but i was just thinking, if i want to update to the latest firmware and unbrand it (its on orange at the mo) do i need to do all this before i copy all my contact etc over from my old phone or doesnt it matter?

I dont want to start using it, get it all up and running and then be told to be able to do all the cool stuff with it i have to install X and that will delete eveything etc. :(
 
It's generally best to debrand your phone first, although not essential.

Try searching the mobile phones forum for 'N95'. There are already quite a few threads about applications.
 
Im having a problem already :(

I am using Nokia Music Manager and have copied over a song to the phone. The software converted it and then transfered it. But i cant find it anywhere. Its not in the music player and the library has 0 music files in it!?

Anyone :(

Have you tried refreshing? Options > Refresh
 
Any way to get rid of all the crap on the front page, ie the search internet, ccalender entries and wlan scanning off stuff?
 
Ok if someone texts you a number how do you dial that number? Because on my old Sirocco you could 'use details' and pick that number and dial it but i cant seem to find that option or anything simular?

Almost all 3rd party software can be installed without any further modification. It is only unsigned software that needs this modification.

How do i get this nokia maps working?!!!

Do you have to have a wireless internet connection to use it because it trys to connect to my home network when i open the app?

And i cant seem to find any postcode at all!!??? I have done the latest update from Nokia maps and got the latest N95 firmware?

Any ideas?

I just renewed my contract and went for n95 8GB, No spiderman 3 movie on it though :(, I was expecting battery life to be poor but I am very impressed with it, having used it all day for GPS and messing around with it, it sill remains at 4 bars. Last way longer then my old phone (k850i) and it's fast when opening applications and such. I love this phone in every way, even the camera is superb. The only let down is the GPS, I found it innacurate and slow at updating my current position.
