internet dvd rental?

what are the good places to do internet rental.
Also is there nay which aren't 12 month contracts?

i use lovefilm, got no complaints what so ever about them. Not sure about the 12 month thing though

I had problems with amazon - or possibly with the post office - with DVDs they sent me going missing. Ended up charging me for the last one.

I use lovefilm too and your not tied into a 12 month contract your free to cancel it whenever you want afaik

I am with Love film to, started with the 3 months free trial thing and just left it on, it's quite good i think. They sent it out quite fast (most of the time) and very good selection.

I'd agree with this. I'm with Love film and am currently about 2 months into the 3 months free trial. Very quick turnaround time and seem to be able to get the films we're after as well.

One thing i like is with stuff like TV series, they have a system that it make sure they sent out the series in order !

I'm with Tesco DVD Rental (powered by LoveFilm) and they seem very good. Turnaround time is very quick, and you can cancel anytime. They send out offers occasionally where you can extend your contract for 12 months at a reduced rate, and I've taken advantage of two of these in past so I'm signed up till nearly 2010 I think :eek:

Is there a code fpr a long lovefilm trial at the moment? as it's only 14 days on there website.

I joined the local 24hr one but they've upped there prices and it's cheaper to buy dvd's than to hire it now. £2.99 for 12hours. I usually buy all my dvds for around the £3 mark.

I don't, no point really. These days if i really want a film i'd buy it. The price drop so fast that 6 months after its out it is like £4 in the shops.

I could let you know next time i get a voucher in the post, threw away a couple of monthly ones last week ! I believe they were the same code for both so its not a unique code per person.

I am with Tesco (Love film), one feature I like is the payment holiday, you can stop paying for up to two weeks for four weeks per year. Also very fast turn around.

Slightly off topic, I settled down to watch Bridge over the Rive Kwai last night, checked the front of the disk, noted the near 3 hour run time and started watching. I was a bit ****** off a little over an hour later when the screen went blank and 'insert disk two' came up. In the past two disk films (Godfather 2 for example) have both been in the same package! I checked on line and it doesn't really explain it but the film is a three disk series with one disk of special features - it should clearly state two film disks!

Rant over.

There's codes floating around the internet.

Apparently you can use another 90 day trial after the first ones ends - not tried it myself but pretty sure it was another OcUKer that said you could.

had 3 months of tesco dvd free and have paid for 2 more, very quick and 3 dvds or games at a time. just cancelled it now. good service though.

^ You can rent games, think it is extra a month but something will be looking to do once our free trial ends (don't think you can get games during the trial).

The PS3 selection looks quite good, list is here.

I for some reason can't get my account to go through. Keeps saying there is a problem with card number, 3 different cards now. Seems dodgy imo.

Im with Blockbuster dont think it is the cheapest, but i put some effort into it i can go through 6 dvds a week, get 3 sent to me in one.
Also had 7 lost in the post and they dont charge you. For that.
Not sure how long the contract is been using there rental thing for a while now.
But the amount i have gone through must be nearly 700 easily.
