Same, i think it was due to the fact that the singleplayer campaign was terrible. The mutltiplayer was awesome but the singleplayer campaign brought it down quite a lot.

I've never bought a game ever and given up on it in an hour but I did with this. Brought nothing new to the table, story was weak and well same goes for the guns actually as well!

Don't think single player is its strong-point, mp is. Did you not try the multi player? Judging from past ut games mp is really good. But its on console and the control pad may not suit the fast gameplay.

This game sucked serious donkey balls, and I think it shows by the fact that it's really difficult to find a server on the PC version

I tried to connect to a multi-player game... (lol)

Couldn't join a single game, after 10 trys I thought **** it.

UT99 was were it was at. Don't think they will ever make a new UT half as good now. UT3 community is dying a slow death on the pc, hope it's a lil better for you guys!!

nothing will ever be as good or fast paced as Quake III Arena, that was the pinnacle imo.

I bought this on release day with high hopes. Played it 3 times and un-installed it a couple of weeks later, its been sat on my self ever since. Any-one want a free copy?
It wasnt awful, just not entertaining at all, Bad company on a console is far better ffs!

Unreal Tournament 2003 was my favourite. And I think it was the direct competition to this game?

Quake III was awesome, But I just preferred UT03

UT 99 was the competition, and the best. Quake 3 was the best for straight up deathmatch though.

Ah okay, Did UT99 have the domination game? Where you had to destroy each others base? And you got tanks and stuff

No thats UT2k4, and that was the onslaught gametype. Domination was an entirely different gametype in UT99 where you had to take control of control points.

The multiplayer is poor. UT is a multiplayer game essentially.

I agree UT3 was a massive disappointment for me no major strides where made over UT2k4 apart from the pretty graphics, also they took out the assault game mode AGAIN! You would have thought they would have learnt that mistake from UT2003. I don't care what they tried to replace it with, nothing can!

Wish they would stop taking steps backwards.

I still love UT3 for some quick instant fun deathmatch action, I rarely bother with other modes like capture the flag and especially not Onslaught.

I love to pop on for a few deathmatch games for 30 mins or so then turn it off again, its just a shame there are very few populated servers.
