I am very grateful to the judges for giving their time, without which we wouldn't have the competition.

But I wish we could get the results in on time so that we can start the next round...

Is there anything we can do to help?

Do the judges have good tools for the mechnical parts of the task of allocating, communicating and collating scores or can I help by building spreadsheets and/or web forms to make judging less laborious?

You could sit exams for whichever of them is in exams :P I think that was a reason given.
But hey, if you have a good idea then get in touch with growse, he runs the website and im sure would welcome any ideas.
 
Last I heard was to get the marking for the last round done, which I put in 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard anything since then. I'd give one of them a poke, but my email's down at the moment :(

Hurrah I just started and I don't finish till next Wednesday. This is why Ichabod is now the announcer as I don't have as much spare time at uni than I did before. As important as this competition is exams and revision take precedent.

Normal service will resume shortly.

i take it this month is a no go on the comp! we are almost half way through so no real point starting one.

p.s. not having a dig, just a suggestion

I've been experimenting on my camera, learning all the jazz and function in prep for this month's photo comp... damn if we'll have to wait till next month.

I'm guessing it's a busy month for the judges?
 
I finished my exams yesterday and emailed my results yesterday as well so the results should be out today. Sorry for the delay but exams are ultimately more important.

no this is understandable and dont want it be rushed or actually take priority over your exams.

Just thought might give you all a rest etc...

I agree. It doesn't make much difference having three weekends rather than four. Most folk seem to do it at the last minute anyway :-)

But I am still looking forward to seeing the results and getting going on this month's challenge...
