Hi there.

I'm car hunting tomorrow with a mate who is 19, had his license a year but does not have an NCB due to his old car being scrapped.

He says he wants a petrol and he doesn't want a Fiat.

First thing I said was Fiesta 1.25 Zetec. I've found one on a 99 T plate, A/C, alloys, 2 owners, good condition. £950.

No sign of FSH though.

What kind of price are we talking for a decent Mk4 1.25 Zetec?

I said that a Polo would be a good bet too. I don't know a lot about polo's. Good choice?

If he wants a small car, Fiesta. If he's not fussed about whether it's a bigger car, well, £1000 will get you a nice... ;)

*sigh* displacement does not directly relate to insurance...it was cheaper for me to insure a 2l mondeo @ 17 than a 1.4 saxo.

Also, at this price bracket i wouldnt be too bothered about FSH, it's unlikely, a lot will have been home serviced at this price point

Mitsubishi Colt / Proton Satria
Civic

Try not to get in the mind set of wanting one exact car. In that price range just look at what ever is in best condition for the cash. I think you can search all cars under £1,000 on auto trader.
