Hey guys,

So, I'm trying to find out the cost of sending a 3kg box of stuff to Australia.

First stop - Royal Fail. Yes, they do surface mail. It's a reasonable £9 per box.

It takes... 12 weeks. And has a weight limit of 2kg.

I've searched and searched their site but cannot find anything on there about sending 3kg boxes in less than 12 weeks.

It isnt urgent but 12 weeks is a bit pointless.

So, who can I use?

The prices are ridiculous. I was going to send some inconsequential stuff to a friend in Texas, but I didn't realise quite how inconsequential it was until I saw the shipping cost. Needless to say, I kept it.

Go to your local International Airport and find a flight heading to Australia. Pay someone £30 quid cash upfront to take it with them and post it when in Oz

Job done :)

Checkin: "Did you pack this bag yourself?"
Passenger: "Why no actually, that random stranger just paid me 30 quid to take it with me."
Checkin: "Step this way for a body cavity search please sir."

:D

I cant believe the prices just to send a 3kg box. Just had a quick look on Parcel Force and its £67 for a 5 day service !!

I had my Nismo LSD sent from Australia as prices are much cheaper than over here and it was £70 to send it to the UK and it was nigh on 11Kgs

our company uses a courier called EXPD, a freight forwarder. best bit about them is they are a very personal service and keep eye on your shipment all the way...

not sure if they can help but worth a shot...

3kg 2/3 days to australia - 50 quid by air
