It's FRIDAY THE 13th..!!

So what's this all about then??

Is it supposed to bring bad luck?

....or is it all superstitions stuff?
 
No, it's all true.

You are statistically more likely to receive bad news or have an accident today than any other day/date combination in the year.

thursday the 12th "oh damn, my car has broke down, best call the AA"

friday the 13th "omfg! my car has broke down and it's FRIDAY THE 13TH OMG!!1!!!!!one!!!11!!!! must have been that black cat i saw earlier, and the mirror that i dropped off the windowsill, best call the paranormal investigators :("

if a day is typically noted as being something and you know this, then of course you are more likely to connect certain things with that day. if a day is supposed to be full of bad luck then you will connect any bad luck had on that day to that day, if you get my meaning
 
well I've got two A2 biology exams today, I sure hope I dont get bad luck, but then again I never have good luck when playing the lotto lol :rolleyes:

when playing the lotto you have as much 'luck' as anyone else, you pick numbers, if you pay attention and observe which ones are more likely to come up (in theory it should be completely random, but you'll notice it isn't) then you will be better prepared, as with almost any form of gambling you can make attempts to minimise the odds.
you'll only do badly in the exams if you haven't prepared and revised (trust me, i know this to be true :p), if you fret about it being friday the 3th you will notice bad things happening.
 
Is it the principal that you are LOOKING for bad news and bad things on friday 13th? More so than on a normal day?

For example, I'm in a meeting with the Head of the School today, I'm thinking it may go badly, I've done nothing wrong, But the fact it;s friday 13th, I'm thinking more so about the possible bad side of the meeting

I know it's all superstitious rubbish. But I'm sure my uni could have taken 3 weeks and 6 days to get our finals results to us on thursday the 12th
 
superstition , hmm, havnt got time for that, if i think bad things will happen i will make them happen inadvertantly. None of that rubbish for me.
