All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

£5m + Carson and off he goes.

No way.

Carson is worth £5-£7m tops.

On the basis that Alonso - who Liverpool do not want - is about to transfer for £15mish Barry has to be worth £18m at the very least to Liverpool.

£10m + Carson is a better deal, though i think O'Neill will still be sniffing around Artur Boruc who is at least pretty much the finished article. Carson is very much a prospect.

I think Barry is making a huge mistake. If i were him the only English club i would join is Arsenal. Liverpool look ready to implode, Chelsea or Man U don't want or need him. Arsenal hinted at interest, but are probably put off by the fee. The only other place to go is Europe.

Ramos would be awesome. If we want Ramos and Robinho then Ronaldo IS going.

Some news buzzing around redcafe about Micah Richards in the region of £25m.

Gill was quoted yesterday saying that Utd are very unlikely to conduct any transfer business until after the Euros. However there are some deals that are already at an advanced stage.

I think there is little question of this anymore - its just a matter of when and for what price (wonder if there would be a be a balance of payment one way or the other)

I would be sad to see him go, but have a nagging feeling the team as a whole would be more balanced if/when he does (ie goals coming more frequently from a selection of players rather than just one or two)

Fire sale at Chelsea after all these new people come in, wonder if we can get Shev for a couple of mill, get rid of AJ then. :D

Not sure about Ramos. Said all along i'd like us to sign Richards though. I think they're both fairly impossible transfers though.

I agree. I'd even go as far as saying Ramos would be more likely than Richards due to Ronaldo. I still make them both to be as unlikely as it gets.

Madrid dont usually care that much about defenders, if they had to give us Ramos in part exchange for Ronaldo they wouldnt think twice.

I think that would be the case yes, but then it's convincing the player to leave. On the other hand I think Richards would be up for the move, but doing the deal with City would be extremely difficult as A\ It's City B\ Their owner is already very wealthy.
