Stolen Rubbish...

Hi,

This is slightly random, but last night i put 3 bags of rubbish in the wheely bin, this morning there were bits of it lying on the floor, and 2 of the 3 bags were gone...

It was from a student house, which ive moved out of today

I think the only bad thing in the rubbish was an invoice from a online store, but that was torn up, not shredded.

Could i be screwed over with ID fraud or something, or am i being over paranoid

Just seemed very strange thats all, not sure why someone would steal rubbish without serious intent.

As far as I'm aware, anything you chuck out becomes public property, hense why you should destroy anything that's important. Eg. bank statements, letters & receipts.

I find it strange someone would steal 2 of the 3 bags, incompetent binmen?

I recycle bank statements etc.
You probably should to man, it's not exactly hard to whack it in the recycling. And who is going to look through your recycling tbh, i doubt the pickup blokes are smart enough.
