Differnt price, same class. ST24 or ST200 could be had for that.
Yes but Phate prefers the look of the mg.
ST what? 170?
Yeah
The focus ST170 is probably 2x the cost. Thats like saying a F430 is better than a Cayman.

No, its like saying "wait, save up, don't jump into the first nail you see because its in a nice colour". He could be driving round in a £600 Rover 400, getting a similar image, and saving up for something worth owning.
Show me a £600 400 with 180bhp.![]()

..and saving up for something worth owning.
Its fit for purpose and a damn site better than his old Saab, surely.
I can't, and you know it. But he could have put up with 120bhp whilst he saved for an actually decent car.
] http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/542922.htm (yes, I know its not the same class of car, and I know its not going to handle as well, but its the point of being a "lot" of car)
How expensive do you think it is to insure a 20 year old male on one of those??![]()
And my opinion is that you just jumped in, this is backed up by the "drove it and fell in love with it". Heart over head decisions always end up in tears.
Sorry, but you have, IMO, wasted the best part of £2k on a numberplate. There are numerous better (but older) cars out there for £2500-3000.
