My new car...

Fair enough if that's your opinion, you should really try a good condition one out (asin drive it) before dismissing it though. It's not all about tech specs, or what it does and doesn't have.

I have. I thought it was godawful.

It's a heck of a lot more car for the money than the Saab.

It isn't though. Its more engine, and more numberplate. These do not add up to more car, the ZT would have been "more car".

It's more power, it's better handling, it's the same fuel economy, it's worked out cheaper to insure. It's a big big upgrade from the Saab!

phate is it true your an emo?

What popped that question? :p

If you mean emo by having longer hair and it covering one eye most of the time, then yes.

if you mean emo by skinny jeans, depressive, listens to the cure and reguarly slit my wrists and kiss guys...then no.

And what was so god awful about it?

It felt like I was driving a half-arsed attempt at a car. When I drove it, it was less than a year old, and I just couldn't deal with how utterly shoddy everthing felt to touch. As far as the actual drive went, the steering felt awful, the ride was crashy, and the power delivery was horrid for a "big" engine.

You could have got all those things, and more, from a car that wasn't reported missing from 1995. Had an actual interior that feels nice, and wasn't styled on "my first racecar".

See, now THAT = a LOT of car for the money.

Right, as much as it is I don't want it...

This is what I've spoken to Tom about this before, he was saying the next logical car from the Mondy which has more power, better handling, my comfort features was the 330, but at the time he didn't really want one...

This is what I don't understand, why not buy the car you want and enjoy it?

I just can't understand (after having driven one) why anyone WOULD want one, unless they were dellusional.

There are better cars out there that offer far more enjoyment, whilst not being built like crap.

Yours must have been abused then, the steering is fantastic, the ride is great, and the power delivery is awesome. *awaits, "coming from a Saab comments* - I've driven lots of other stuff, more powerful stuff as well.

Interior really isn't an issue to me, it never has been. I've said this several times in Motors, it really really doesn't bother me what the inside is like. I'll show you a pic of the Maestro if you think MG's are bad :p

I like the styling :D

Nope, it wasn't abused, it was my mates, bought from new, and looked after very very well. I've driven a lot of cars, and it was just dire in comparison to most.

I guess you'll grow up soon enough and actually want a nice car. ;)

If you really didn't care about the interior, you should have got something really stripped and bare, that offers a decent driving experience.

It's all matter to opinion though. I drove it and liked it, you drove it and hated it. That's the end of it - you might have just got a particularly bad experience, whilst mine was far more enjoyable!

I wouldn't say it's crap. It's not upto German standards by any means but it doesn't rattle and is solid inside.

You come out with a bitchy silly comment like that and are telling me to grow up? ;)

I want somewhere to put my phone ;) Bare interiors do not allow this :p

Oh, and the MG IS a decent driving experience, it might not be as OMFGBBQ amazing as your LCR, but it's not bad by any means at all.

Its too solid. Hard, scratchy plastics, built to a (cheap) budget, no style at all, nothing in it feels better than the same interior did in 1995.

Its nowhere near German standards at all.

The reason it doesn't rattle is there is nothing to actually rattle, its a bare, baron interior.

The MG most certainly isn't a decent driving experience, not compared to anything actually focussed on driving.

The LCR isn't hot either really (its disjointed and not nearly raw enough), but at least I haven't compromised everything else, style, interior quality, build quality, etc etc.
