Finding money on the floor

I used to find a fair bit on the road near my house - about £100 in total over the years. People used to be so careless, and on the way to the local shop on Sunday morning I found a fair bit.

I also found a long line of £1 and £2 coins on my way home from a friend's house once, totallng about £40. I couldn't believe they had dropped so many!

I also found a fully charged £10 phonecard left in a phonebox once, that was nice.

While I was out with my Dad we found fifty pound under a sweet stand in a shop (we spotted it through the gaps). He "dropped" a pound which I picked up.

Only gave me a tenner though :(

found a tenner while in bristol for skins party. parked the car up. walking down the road, and it was calling me over to pick it up.

and another tenner when i was younger in a empty lilt can...... weird that! dont ask how the hell i noticed it in a can haha

Forgot about this one, found a wallet in my union whislt working. Looked at the guys ID and he looked like Peter Griffin :p - walked around for 20mins looking for him and found him. He didn't even know he had lost it!

I always seemed to have found £1 coins on the floor. Don't anymore, most I've ever found was a £20 note near some Dog Poo. I still took it.

£160 in a wallet, fortunately, the owner had a few of his business cards in it with a phone number, so I did the honest thing and rang him to arrange collection.

He couldn't tell me how grateful he was apparantly, so I had to go without a thank you. :(

my mate found a £20 note and two unopened cans of coke when I was with him on a car park once, he gave me one of the cans but didn't tell me about the £20 till years later :(

Was at the post office the other day and found a large purse loaded with cash and cards, looked at all the money thinking mmmmmm, but then I just shook my head and proceeded to hand it in, just as I left the counter after handing it over to the teller the woman who had left the purse rushed in franticly, she was in obvious distress and was very grateful to have it returned, ten years ago I wouldn't of thought twice about pocketing that cash, I got no reward but tbh that didn't really bother me, it felt good seeing how happy she was.

I recently found 2x£20 notes in 1 day, which was nice... I have also found a single sealed tablet in a little plastic bubble, which turned out to be a Womenra tablet, still got this on my desk strangely enough.

Im great at spotting mispriced items in shops and recently bought a set of "Metronic USB 2.4 GHZ Wireless Stereo Headphones" for £4.99 at an outlet store... all the others in the glass cabinet were labelled at £50, these were mislabelled at £8.74, got to the til and they reduced them to £4.99

found several thousand pounds in a holdall in the back of my taxi once, along with many many pairs of underwear bags of illegal substances and a couple of blades and the odd hypodermic needle

great fun clearing the cars out end of shift :)

I was waiting at a cash point and when my turn came I noticed the last guy hadn't taken his money. It was about £80 and I was very very poor at the time. I was hoping he was going to get into a car and drive off so I'd not have to feel guilty if I didn't tell him about it, however as I looked over my shoulder I saw him disappear into a shop across the road. I still stood there for about 30 seconds/a minute just thinking "Could I actually just do it?" but I eventually did the right thing.

Found a roll of tenners ( £250 ) tied up with a rubber band and some fags under a park bench when i was about 12. There was no one around so i put em in my pocket and hung around for a bit to see if anyone came. After an hour mucking about on my bike i went home and my dad let me keep it and i bought a new bike!
