Clean car - Really? How useful, that will save me at least £5 in getting it washed myself.

Must be seen - Are you sure? Thats a shame, I wanted to buy it without even coming to look.

First to see will buy - I guess it must be sold then if the first to see it would buy it.

Directors car - Really? Excellent - just what I'm after. Last car I viewed belonged to a bank manager. I mean as if I'd buy that!

Lady owner - Brilliant, so it's never had the oil checked and will have numerous parking scrapes?

Genuine Reason for Sale - As opposed to a fake reason for sale?

100k Motorway Miles - on a 10 year old car? Sure about that?

Thousands spend in last year - Ah, thats why its for sale. Not for me then thanks!

Any more?

I'll agree with all the above, but "Clean car" doesn't really mean "not dirty".

Mint condition for price. - On a £1500 car, saw it on PH

Mint condition, fine, but tagging 'for price' on the end basically means it's not that good condition, hence price.

forget this gem

Priced to sell - It's been for sale for a month but it's a heap and i can't get rid of it at full price. (wanna buy an Arosa?;))

To be fair, this is basically the case with mine. Useless in town, only used on trips to gfs (160miles of A1) and trips to and from home (200miles motorway).

Clean condition, not how well washed it is.

Some people do actually buy without viewing, 'Must be seen' generally means it has to be seen to appreciate condition.

First to see will buy - I guess it must be sold then if the first to see it would buy it.

They won't sit around with your offer, waiting for other offers to come along, a reasonable price is agreed and the car is yours.

Never heard of this one, i suppose it gives a sense of prestige.

Some people genuinely believe this is a good thing.

Genuine Reason for Sale - As opposed to a fake reason for sale?

Could have been in a smash, repaired shockingly and they just want to move the car on as quickly as possible.

Motorway miles attracts buyers, did you not see it as a redeeming feature? Pretty sure you did/do.

Thousands spend in last year - Ah, thats why its for sale. Not for me then thanks!

As a way of hinting the underlining fact that it *possibly* won't need any more work for a good while.

Any more?

"MOT Expired but won't need any work to get one" is one that always makes me laugh.

If it didn't need any work you'd spend the £35 odd and double the cheap car's value with 12 months MOT.

Previous owner was a celebrity - so the car will be covered in scratches from the photographers and the clutch will be knackered from multiple fast getaways

Thus far I would still view "lady owner" as a plus point, if it's true obviously.

Agreed women don't do oil changes etc, but in general they drive much calmer and gentler on the car than I do.

This drives me up the wall. It's the most blatant LIE ever, and really annoys me.

I've found that they don't notice if something is wrong, and only mention it weeks/months after something has gone wrong.

My sister's car has only been owned by women, and it's heap, due to them not looking after it. Dings, dodgy sounding and running engine etc.
