Sorry if my comments about JW has frustrated you, but, i can honestly say its what my workmate told me, he is an very active JW but maybe its just his personal opinion or understanding of it...

No because it is a history of the Jewish people and how they formed and where they progressed to.
The Jew's started with Adam & Eve who left their own respective tribes and set up home elsewhere which was called Eden.
They had 2 sons who went to other tribes and got themselves a wife.
The tribe grew and grew and over 1000's of years became the Jewish nation.
If we take all the God crap out it isn't so hard to believe.
If we take the God crap out of Winston Churchills speeches it would be more believable.
People have a problem with the title 'The Bible' so lets rename it History Of the Jewish People and if we take the religious bits out we'll still have at least 99% of a history book.

The bible was written long before Darwin's theory of evolution.
It is therefore out of date, and can be considered "wrong".
Jesus may have existed, but he was not the son of god. There were a plague of messiahs back then.
It is ALL wrong.
So because the Bible was written long before a theory then the whole thing can be considered wrong?
The bible doesn't say God magically clicked his fingers and up popped an elephant. Both Darwin's theory and the Bible could be quite similar as the Bible doesn't say how everything came about.

A theory is derived from scientific experimentation and observation, it is then tested and adjusted, or even abandoned as time goes on, forming an ever more accurate picture of the truth.

No it says God created the things. I can create a piece of art but I don't click my fingers and I have the Mona Lisa, I start from somewhere it evolves into the Mona Lisa through my actions.
I'm not saying God did make elephants or that he didn't. I don't know as I wasn't around at the time and I haven't lived long enough to see evolution take place. And I don't want to say things which I know I can't prove either way.
