Do "those vauxhall indicators" that people get their knickers in a twist over, work the same way as the VAG ones? (Or at least the ones on the mk5 Golf I drove) as I found those to be excellent - efficient and useful. Tap it once and it flashes 3 times for a motorway overtake, it's great. Dunno why people get so upset if it works the same way on Vauxhalls

Its nothing like the VAG ones. The VAG lane changing indicator is intuitive, and does not have to be used.

The Vauxhall ones are absolutely, terrifyingly awful. They don't click into place, so you don't know exactly how many flashes you will get. They are horribly unresponsive when you actually turn as well, meaning you have to try to cancel them yourself. Which then leads to you misjudging how far to push the stalk in, and so on and so on, meaning you look like mentalist on the roads.

On top of that, the Vectra C is an atrocious drive in general. The seats are uncomfortable, the interior is dull as dishwater and when you go round a corner at any speed, it actually feels like you are driving a boat. The petrol variants are unresponsive, and the diesel engines are simply dead. It picks up a worrying amount of rattles and knocks. Going over speed bumps makes you die a little inside due to the horrible wallowy suspension.

Still want one??
 
Mine are fine, quick tap to lane change (where you get 3x flashes), and push so they lock into place (where they click) to turn etc..., nowt wrong with em, and they cancel fine by themselves to.

Double wishbones upfront and a semi independant rear suspension at the rear. Who cares if it was designed in the 80's (and shares the same basic chassis as the integra Type R.)

Read this last night, sounded impressive to me (although most things do as I know bugger all about car mechanics!) - didn't have any ideas its the same basic design as an Integr Type R though!!! :eek: :D
