Uncharted on the PS3

Brilliant game. The only thing that lets it down is there's too many damn pirates in places where there shouldn't be. I expect it was to make the game longer by slowing your progress, but I would have liked a few more areas / levels where it was just me and a bunch of puzzles.

Good game, even better on a second play through

Completed it using only the pistol + headshots

It's a fantastic game and graphically stunning. It does give a lot for Tomb Raider to improve on.

I thought Tomb Raider: Legend was the better game, but Uncharted isn't far off and for me is the best game I've played on PS3 by a long way. It's only issues are that it's short, has zero re-playability and has no multiplayer, I hope to see those in the next release.

I think I could play through this game again, just not right away (say in 3 months time).

But you are right, TR really needs to learn from this game. ESPECIALLY the cover and the jumping system. Tomb Raiders "I am 1 millionth of a degree out of line and so I fall to my death for the 4th time in a row" gets tiresome quickly.

I didn’t like the game, I hated the game play, ai and level design only thing that made me finish it was the story/cut scenes which had a bit of fun about then just like the Indy/mummy films.

finally someone else who is sane! well said

the gameplay and scripted shooting scenes were not done well imo. Very very repetitive rubbish design.. nothing changes you just do the same thing...

Story extremely underwhelming as well..IT IS NO EPIC i'll tell you that...kept expecting and hoping it would pick up.... i mean when the End Boss fight feels like every other shooting scene in the game then you know things aint working great. Ohh and only 1 type of enemy in the entire game? hrmm... if this was on 360 or pc it would have got maybe 70% at most...

good atmosphere and graphics though and nice voiceovers...

2 actually.

I dont see how they could have added some new types of enemy, what we had was a fairly wide variation in humans models and 1 'other'. there was no way they could have added in robots or giant enemy crabs. Then people moaned that the 'other' broke the feeling of reality.

great game tbh.

warning spoilerish...

2 types...but only 1 for most of the game. Remember im talking about end bosses as well sorry did i say end bosses thats a mistake coz theres only really 1 boss fight....and hes not a boss just another guy with a gun hiding behind some boxes ......

You're right they were limited on enemy variety because the story was limited! Where was the imagination? The rich story? Lets see "explore" an island but you dont really explore coz you only find ammo/weapons and MOST places are setup as artificial shooting scenes how that is realistic i dont know. The environment is 95% non-interactive.

What they should have done is made you go underground for longer and deeper into the bowels of the earth... maybe discover a lost city under there with another tribe. I was so dissapointed that it ended the way it did. Felt half done..

Uncharted was all flash (graphics and atmosphere) and no substance for the most part.

Maybe they did that on purpose so they can make a sequel that has a better story and better gameplay with more variety?

Kinda like what Nvidia and AMD do with drip feeding us new tech instead of making a killer card using all the technology possible.
