After three years of faithful love to my oil burning 306 the time came for a change. Now I know many of you won't approve of this, Fox probably being one of them but I'm sure AGW will love it ;)

I love the car in comparison to the 306, bags of power, torque and well it loves petrol ;) She's a 1995/1998 220 coupe turbo (FDH for anyone that cares) and has just had her MOT and a replacement engine fitted. The weak gearbox also had a full set of steel caged bearings fitted during my friends ownership.

I'm after wheel suggestions for the car from anyone that cares to comment, I'm currently thinking of a set of MG straights but if anyone can suggest something that will look nicer then I'm open to that :)

Cheers guys:)

Cheers mate, im chuffed with it :) I'm not too sure what power its making - has a few little bits and pieces done so maybe a few bhp's over stock but the torque compared to my 306  - I can even drive it like a diesel (yes yes I shouldn't be doing so ;) )

What makes you say leave it as it is? I can't think if you had a rover turbo at one point? I was after AGW's opinion also but he doesn't seem to frequent here that much anymore!

he's on holiday :)

MG straights *** tbh. or some oz superturismos

Its a 1995, but spent a number of years touring the planet in a cargo hold, so wasn't registered until 1998 (I think).

The last of the 220 turbo coupes before it all went vvc and headgaskety.

Nice, stick a bigger turbo on and they fly.

Shame they don't handle as well as their hatchback brother

Change the front brakes for some that work as well ;)

MG ZR/ZS 160/180 front and rear brakes go straight on.

FDH's seem to fetch silly money, tend to be in better condition than others due to the lower milage and have full leather/air con etc.

Guess you got mates rates, some have been going on ebay for 2.5-3k which is just daft when all it really is is a number plate over another car!

Straights are pretty good, i swapped mine for OZ super turismos (not the new style super turismo, the older ones), little bit light i think but not much in it.

/rover pimpage

Mine on MG Straights, dont have any on the OZ wheels, but they are very similar in design.

Very nice, my mate just got a VVC Coupe gotta say I love them to bits, always wanted one but for my current disposable car budget can't really get reliable driving. Hope it's been looked after all it's life, I wouldn't want the bills if anything goes wrong with that engine.

How much it cost?

Looks in good condition from the photo. Got to change the alloys though, as berger said :)

What? Yes Yes I know the story but if it's an N reg car it's a 1995.

Well its actually got a M registered plate on it foxy, so which shall it be ;)

The tax runs out end of september, thats an old picture from my friends collection who had it before me :)

I fancy some MG straights, but I was given two new toyo's with the car to put on so I will get them fitted and wear them out before I look at new alloys :)

Yes I got mates rates, she was less expensive than the silly rates the FDH's fetch that berger said, a lot less :D

What have you done to yours engine wise berger?

Sorry for late reply guys, power cut took out my hard drive :(
