Hi,

The 120mm fan that sucks air into the PC is a bit weak. What is the most power 1 to get? Noise isnt a issue, just wanna get temp down a bit.

Thanks

Seems too cheap, but I just got an Arctic cooling 12025L fan from OcUK (To keep as spares). Its quiet and has good airflow for the noise.

59 dBa is about normal office volume, so quite loud. But it is well known for being the most powerful, sushi_fiesta_57 is right. Yateloon fans would be a sensible compromise.

Make sure you bolt down your case. and make sure small children / pets are kept at least 3 metres away, otherwise they may be sucked in. Seriously. Oh, dont try and run them from a mobo power connector ar fan controller, they cant handle the power draw.

Well the Delta fan came and is now fitted. Its connected to the chassis fan output on the mobo. Its spinning at 3100rpm instead of its rated 4000rpm at 100% duty cycle. Any ideas why it aint at 4000rpm? The cpu fan says over 4000rpm.

On the topic of connecting 120mm fans to the mobo headers...

I currently have 2 scythe jyuni 1200rpm fans (69CFM) connected to the motherboard on my P5K-E. I have just ordered 3 more and was wondering if its still fine to connect these to the 3 additional connectors on the mobo? (2 more "case fan" headers and one "PWR" header).

The reason I ask is I dont want to have a molex connector comming from my PSU just for fans (modular).

Actually, does the PWR actually supply a +12v or does it just monitor the RPM of the PSU fan as I would have liked to used it for a case fan?

The PWR connector on my mobo didnt power the fan when I tried it. Would adding a Delta to the back make any difference? I have the delta sucking in and a standard 120mm fan blowing out the back and a 80mm side fan blowing out.

Don't connect it to the mobo. Connect it directly to the power supply.

Oh, and how are your ears?

hook it up to this

If you're wondering about the noise from these fans, try this video on youtube. It shows the delta first, and a more powerful one second.

sounds like a spitfire !

anywho, yate loons i believe will be the best for you, those deltas are too loud.

im using akasa ambers my self two 80mm and one 120mm. its okay but im not impressed with the amount of air pushed :(
