i'd say either use a car jack, or turn a can of compressed air upside down - spray it into the lock and use a hammer.

I've done this with the same type of lock. Called out a locksmith who cut through it with a pair of bolt cutters, though it probably would have worked out cheaper to go and buy my own pair of bolt cutters. Disc cutter wasn't an option as it was in a petrol station forecourt.

Certainly learned never to use a dodgy lock again after that ordeal.

Modern locks are quite easy to open with 2 paper clips, Mess around with it for a while :/

I know, it's the reason why the bike lock was so hard to open as it's not been opened for around 6 months, so today I decided to service the bike but obviously I had a predicament that lead me to make this thread.
