Knee problem, not medical

Hi

Over the past few days I have had a dull pain in my knee been really irrtaiting are there any alternatives than going to a GP as I don't think there is to much they can do.

Probably just a sprain, were you out on the sauce at the weekend? ;).
~4 days should see it through, less than a week anyway if you rest it when you can.
Stay out of warm water with it, let the swelling go down.

If it's still there in a few days go see the Doc.

Also how long does knee pain from normal damage last?

How did you damage it? A physiotherapist or a masseuse may be able to help but if you have damaged it, going to see the GP is the only way you're going to get anything done about it.

My right knee sucks ever since a motorbike accident just over 5 years ago. It creaks like an old door when i move it and aches like hell in the cold. I have tried everything and the only thing that helps is physiotherapy but that gets very expensive after a while.

Go see your doctor if it continues to hurt.

I dont think I have done anything, cant think of anything.

Think it may be related to my old job kneeling on a floor most of the day with no knee pads.

In that case, see a doctor. Nobody on here is going to be able to help you.
