Nvidia GTX 280 - IN STOCK NOW!!!

i hope you didnt spend all that money for an extra 20-30 fps :p

No i done it on an impulse buy, i had and have no reason to buy it yet i did.

I have a 30" monitor but there are no decent games out.

I guess i'm like a lot of people out there that buy new stuff even though they have not much need for it but want to mess about with the newest bits.

If any of you would like to find my house and kill me feel free.

Don't worry khemist you don't have to explain yourself. I'm sure you're justified in why you've chosen it for your own reasons. Feel pleased you now have the fastest card in the world and get up some results for us to drool over asap :p

I can play Mass Effect comfortably in 2560x1600 on a 30" with "just" my HD3870X2, so it's not outside the realms of possibility. I would imagine this card would make the experience even better.

Well come payday at the end of this month I will put cash down on a 280 and a new processor + ram. Lifes too short to be messing about counting pennies.

Im just looking at these and not interested in buying one. However i am looking at buying a new car and the money situation is making me think. But now youve said that it makes sense. If anyone says to me "dont waste your money!"

Ill be like FO! Lifes to short!

ahhhhh your a genius lad!

Way, Way, WAY too expensive...

it doesn't have any justification, IMO, ESPECIALLY when the 9800GX2 is cheaper, but basically does the same thing.

as someone else said somewhere, is this nVidia opening a can of whoop-***?!?!?! and, where's all the 'you'll be blown away when the NDA lifts; nVidia has made another 8800GTX leap forward'???

I think statements came to that effect from TechReport...

18 or so months after the 8800GTX, and i am NOT in the least bit impressed, tbh

Im all for treating myself to nice flash things, however when they arent providing anything special, the spending of hundreds of pounds is just not clever :)
