Best way to break open the lock on my bike ?

No D-lock is stronger than a jack, as long as the jack will fit inbetween so that's your answer. These people suggesting angle grinders must have been playing with monkey metal high street catalogue locks.

Nope - Kryptonite something-or-other (£40+ of lock is no fun to be cutting through :() hence it taking about 10 mins to go through it XD

Anyway... probably would have been easier cutting through the frame, it would fit in the skip more easily!

on a U-lock lol

Having watched very expensive "Thatchem approved" and "Sold Secure" chains busted with bolt croppers in a very short time and these are chains designed to secure motorbikes. A good set of bolt croppers in a U-lock wont take long at all.
The company breaking the chains nearly got thrown out of the NEC as Oxford and Abus threw a bit of a wobbly fit watching their pride and joy getting trashed.

Tear the rubber off round the lock, if there is a pin thing on the edge, pull it out, give it a few whacks with a hammer and it should just fall apart.
Older d locks it did it but not sure about today.
Else you can generally break bike lock mechanisms (this will scratch your frame) by kicking the bike away from the lock.
