Procede 135 vs Gallardo

I would love to up the bhp on my 335i to 400+ but am too scared about losing my warranty.

WOAH. How much would that BMW cost with all those mods? you save a few quid instead of buying a lambo...

Ideal car would be a 135i M sport convertable with those vishnu mods. Now that would be sweeet.

Then you have a fast car that is still a 1 series....
you buy a lambo because you want the lambo experience and occasion, not just for the power.

Yep I had planned to mod my one but was too concerned about voiding the warrantee and killing the engine, so I decided to sell it and upgrade to something a bit quicker but im having trouble selling it.

I think around 2500 pounds and you would see 400 bhp Plus.

To be honest I think it would be better to mod a 335i and not the 135i as its not the much quicker.

Totally missed the point of a supercar there dude, as pointed out by Morba

No not really, I see the point and was just messing around. My dream car is a lambo and it's all about the experience and lifestyle attached to it rather than speed.

However, you have to see fun in beating a supercar with something that costs 1/3 the price and doesn't really look like much more than a rep-mobile :)

...and nor would I, though most regular people can't afford a lambo....so a tuned 135i with lambo performance would be a great choice for those who want a quick rep mobile who can't afford a ferrari, lambo etc. The point of the video is to show how quick they are after minor tuning, which to be fair is pretty dam impressive!

Do you think that they will ever make an M1? considering that the stock exhaust system is probably holding it back somewhat, possibly a twin exhaust and some M bling here and there. I would be interested to see how that would turn out.

why pay 1/3rd then? plenty of even cheaper cars that can be modded to have that sort of power.

That wasn't the point I was trying to make. The point I was trying to make is that it is a great engine and overall car to be able to reach that kind of performance with very little money spent on it. I wasn't bigging up the idea of buying a mk1 Golf and sticking a huge engine in it and saying omg this can race a lambo so it is much better.

Was I reading the linked thread correctly, because it sounds like the the 'race' was a little contrived, the Lambo was in 2nd gear at 40mph, when 1st tops out at 75mph, meaning it's well out the sweetspot, and it was said that heat build up would start slowing the BMW down, so had it gone on much longer, the lambo would have clawed it back? surely a standing start mile run would have been a little fairer?

The 135 does have a great engine, but from reading that thread, it sounds a little 'made up' to me..
